FACT: your tyres wear down with use.
To keep yourself and others safe, you've got to take good care of your tyres.
That's where we come in.
We supply new and used tyres for ALL the major brands.
We fit tyres, repair tyres, and rotate tyres.
We perform wheel balancing and wheel alignments.
What is tyre fitting? Tyre fitting is the process of attaching (or mounting) a tyre to the rim of a wheel. It usually involves the use of special computerised equipment. Once the tyre has been fitted, the wheel needs to be balanced BEFORE it is put onto the vehicle.
Wheel balancing (or tyre balancing) is done following a tyre fitting to ensure that the combined weight of the wheel and the newly fitted tyre is equally distributed when the wheel / tyre spins. This will reduce occurrences of steering wheel vibrations and uneven tyre wear.
Our tyre technicians are experienced tyre fitters and wheel balancers. We take precautions to protect your wheels during the tyre fitting and wheel balancing processes. Plus we can guide you in choosing the right tyres for your specific vehicle.
Wheel alignment is the process of adjusting the angle and positioning of the wheels of your vehicle so that they are perpendicular to the surface of the road as well as all pointing in the same direction.
The benefits of having a properly aligned vehicle includes:
Your vehicle's wheel alignment should be checked about every 20,000km or at least once a year.
Your safety is our concern. So, we will only repair your tyre if your safety will not be jeopardised. If a tyre can be repaired, we can repair it!
When we repair punctured tyres, we often use a vulcansing process.
Tyre vulcanisation is the process of adding new raw rubber to a damaged area of a tyre to create a repair suitable for the rest of the tyre's road life.
Not all tyre damage should be repaired. Sometimes it is best to replace the tyre instead of repairing it. This is particularly true if the damage is in the sidewall of the tyre OR if the tyre is worn past the wear indicator bars.
It is important to rotate your tyres regularly to extend the life of your tyres and to improve the performance (handling and stability) of your vehicle.
During a tyre rotation, each wheel (with tyre) is removed from your vehicle and moved to a different position on the vehicle.
How Often Should You Rotate Your Tyres?
Your tyres should be rotated at least every 12 months but every 10,000km is a better gauge.
Which Tyre Rotation Pattern Should You Use?
Which tyre is moved to which position during a tyre rotation is dependant on a few factors:
Images below show the standard tyre rotation patterns. However, there's no need for you to figure this out yourself.
Bring in your vehicle and we'll get your sorted.
